The FAQ's of FotoFly

Besides my immediate family, who can I include in my session?

This is an important question, one that we've given a lot of consideration in answering.
Here's our policy:
You may include your immediate family on a single CD. This includes the entire group, just the children group, individuals of the children, a couple's picture of the parent, etc. Basically, ANY combination in an immediate family is okay.

If you are a grandparent, this includes your children and grandchildren. We will do various group poses: the entire group, all the grandkids together, the grandparents with the grandchildren, the group of children, the grandparents alone, etc. However, once we break up into individual families, each family must purchase their own CD. For example, if you've got six cousins and you want to do individuals or split them up into your kids and then your sister's kids, each family must purchase a CD.
You may include cousins or friends in a group picture on a single CD. Again, if we break up into individual families, each family must purchase a CD. If you have any question about this policy, give us a call at the studio.
As stated, we've considered this question carefully and feel that we have crafted a policy that is fair for you and us.

What should my newborn wear to the studio?

Many of our newborn photos involve him/her being or looking naked. It's best to bring your newborn clothed in only a diaper. Our goal is to make your child as comfortable as possible.

How can I best prepare my child prior to my appointment?

Here are a few important guidelines:
Bring them in the clothing that you would like to start the session with. It's usually not good to begin the session by changing their clothes.
It is always best to avoid making your child feel pressure. For example, resist saying, "You really need to follow directions and smile." This makes the child anxious and the session more stressful.

How many clothing changes can I have?

We don't have a limit on clothing changes. However, we only have a limited amount of time with you. Because of this, you will want to keep clothing changes to a minimum.

Is there an extra fee for more than one person?

No. We don't believe in penalizing customers for having families.

Will my appointment start on time?

Yes. Please arrive to your appointment ten minutes early so we can accomplish what is necessary to bring you into the studio on time.

What if my child is having a bad day, and is not cooperating?

If this occurs and you do not enjoy the images there is no obligation to pay for anything. We understand that sometimes children have a bad day and it just doesn't work out. You should never pay for something that you don't want. This policy demonstrates our confidence in our photography.

Can I or my relatives view and order the photos online?

Yes. When you buy the CD, you will be issued a password that will allow you to view and order your portraits or products online. Grandparents can buy extra prints themselves!

How do I make an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment via our website under the 'schedule' tab, by phone, or our FotoFly facebook page. Feel free to contact us at 801-727-FOTO for scheduling.

How long is my time in the studio?

Every session varies in length. We have spaced the sessions out so that we have ample time for you. We will end every session with enough time to edit your images and prepare for the following session.

If I buy online, is it the same price as in the studio?

Yes. All products are the same price with addictional shipping cost of $4.95 or Free In-Store Pick-up is available. There are also additional products and options that are not offered in the studio.

Are there any hidden fees?

Never. We hate hidden fees.

Do I have to buy the CD before buying anything else?

Yes. Our primary product is the CD and our pricing is set up to reflect that. For example, you may not visit our studio and buy just one sheet for $4.

What if my child or I am sick the day of our appointment?

It is not a good idea to bring a sick person in for portraits. If this is the situation call us and we will be happy to reschedule.
